We are planning to publish a quarterly magazine which will, like this website, focus on activities in each of the four seasons. There will be a minimum of 100 pages per issue and we aim to keep the price low (below £5). Distribution will be either online or via a select few physical shops. You can register your interest in the magazine here.

To get this all of the ground we have a Kickstarter that offers various rewards for investments that can be as low as £5. More information here.

Each issue will have:

  • Six features
  • Mountain news
  • Spotlights on mountain huts and hotels
  • Profiles on mountain charities, animals, cities (or villages/towns), and on an actual mountain
  • A section on mountain-related skills, e.g.: navigation, reading the weather, photography, survival
  • Recipes for mountain food (not just fondue!)
  • Reviews of mountain media (films, books etc.)

  • Seasonal itinerary ideas plus new mountain tours

  • A 'Mountain people' section looking at mountain-based cultures

  • Mountain rail route of the quarter

  • An introduction to a mountain sport (skiing, curling, hiking etc.)

  • An event calendar and which mountain-based holiday/activities would be good to book now

  • Places that are at risk in the mountains, as well as positive mountain news

  • Interviews with interesting people who live and/or work in the mountains
