Mountains Magazine celebrates everything to do with the planet's peaks. We don't focus on gear, or the more extreme activities such as climbing, we do aim to be inclusive and inspire news ways in which to visit mountains on every continent. There will be four issues of Mountains Magazine every year:

WINTER -  snow sports and ways to gaze at the mountains when the snow is deep

SPRING - where to hike, bike and find the last of the season's snow

SUMMER - where to hike, bike and find the last of the season's snow

AUTUMN - where to hike, bike and find the last of the season's snow

Each physical issue will include features written by expert mountain writers, plus regular sections such as:

  • Mountain Profile. Focus on one particular mountain, with info such as height, when it was first scaled, routes around it, glaciers etc.
  • Learn How To... . Simple tutorials for useful mountain skills such as navigation and photography.
  • Mountain People. Meeting some of the cultures which call the mountains their home.
  • Beyond the slopes. Non-ski winter activities.
  • Mountain city/town/resort profile. Focus on two mountain urban areas with focus on views and access to mountains.
